My favorite hairstyles for my Curly Hair.

My go-to hairstyles.

Hey guys, I’m back with another hair post! I feel like I have some knowledge I can share about having curly hair from these last almost 28 years on earth! I’ve been learning to tackle it and still have it look cute for some time now. Whenever it comes to styling my hair, I absolutely dread doing it. My hair is wavy, dry and frizzy. Over the years I’ve heard tips and tricks from many people and some things have worked, and some haven't. I have a separate blog post Here, all about how I control and tame my frizzy Italian hair. All of these pictures included, are from over the last two years. As you can see, I've been brunette, blond, I've had purple hair and an ombre. I've loved every color, it's always fun to have colourful hair. The damage is another topic, lol. I made sure to include pictures that really show my natural texture.

My casual days:

A couple of the ways I do my hair for those days when I don’t need to look too presentable, is a pony tail, a messy bun, a tight twisted up bun or a side braid. I tend to do these a lot. If I’m spending the day at home I love a good bun so my hair is out of the way. A good side braid is my favorite go to when I have to go out and about. The only down side is I have some layers, so pieces will come out and make me itch, lol. You should know this huge thing I’ve learned, If you wear your hair up all the time, especially if it’s up tight, it will cause breakage on your hair line. I’m currently work on not putting my hair up tight. I have cause my hair a lot of breakage from having it up too tight, and of course coloring it. In the pictures I’ve added, you won’t see me in a bun. I turn into a literal egg head, it’s not cute hahaha.

When I need my hair to look nice:

Sometimes I will straighten my hair if I know it’s going to be cool and I won’t be sweating. If I sweat, it’s all over for my Italian textured hair. I also may straighten some pieces along with my natural wavy texture, that gives my hair a nicer look without actually having to do much. Adding a few loose curls helps with the overall frizz, but I’m still able to embrace my natural hair. There are times I’ll do a nice sleek pony tail with the ends straightened or curled. That’s always nice if it’s hot! I don’t often get chances to dress up, so I take advantage of it and make an effort to look really nice! One style I think is really cute is when I put my hair half up and curl the ends. It has that Ariana Grande vibe that a girl just needs sometimes.

I need some ideas for hair styles that will work with my hair type. I’m always open for suggestions and tips. If you have any, feel free to comment down below! I hope you enjoyed this post. If you have any ideas of future posts you would like to see, let me know down!

In This Moment Concert Looks

In This Moment, Motionless In White, Avatar and Gemini Syndrome

In This Moment
Guys! My boyfriend and I are going to be seeing one of our favorite bands! April fifteenth in Columbus Ohio! In This Moment! We are so fucking pumped for it. I normally try not to swear in my blog, but I’m too excited! If you guys don’t know who they are, they’re a bad ass metal band with a female singer. The beautiful Maria Brink! At the concert there’s supposed to be three other groups with them on tour. Motionless In White, Avatar and Gemini Syndrome! I like all of these bands, the only ones I don’t know as well are Avatar and Motionless In White. But I do enjoy what I’ve heard by them so far! Now, you guys know what this means! Testing and trying out hair and makeup looks for the show. They have got to be long lasting and sweat proof! Most of all, I have to look cute of course. I have a few ideas in mind and I wanted to talk about and get some input on!

Makeup Look one:

This is the most basic look I came up with. I’m thinking either a classic messy bun or a donut looking bun. What are those called? A ballerina bun maybe, lol. For the makeup look, I’m thinking a simple minimal makeup look with a winged liner. With some bottom lash line smoky-ness with a deep purple shadow! Of course a ton black eyeliner in the waterline. For the lips, J Cat’s kissproof liquid lipstick in Champagne Buzz. It’s a nude shade with a slight orange tint.

Makeup Look two:

For the second look I thought a sleek ponytail and more of a dramatic eye! This eye look would be a late night smoky glam vibe. I’m thinking of using my Wet n Wild Comfort Zone pallet. The bottom right shade is my favorite color in the palette, which you can tell by how used it is. It’s like a blue brown shade. I guess it’s a dupe for MAC's blue brown pigment. That shade all over the lid with some red through the crease and some glitter! Depending on how much glitter there ends up being, I probably won’t do a wing with this look. I will be adding black eyeliner to the waterline and some of of that blue brown shade on the lash line. For my lips, I’m thinking the same liquid lipstick in Champagne Buzz.

Makeup Look three:

Okay, this is probably going to be what I end up going with. I think it really fits my personality most. For the hair I want to do double twist back braids into a side braid. That’s generally my go to hair style when I have to have my hair out of my face. I know I’m going to be sweating a lot, I do anytime I’m out doing something. For my makeup I want to do a black and silver smoky eye look. Very Goth looking and pulling some Maria Brink vibes! This one is would pair with a red matte liquid lipstick. A lot of black in the water line, and some smudging under that.

If you guys are wondering about what I’m going to be wearing, I’m thinking of wearing my blue jeans and low top black and white classic Converse. I have no clue what shirt I’m going to wear! I think I’m going to buy a new shirt for the concert. I really don’t have anything I could wear to the concert, shirt wise anyways! Guys, I’m so excited! Let’s talk in the comments about our favorite music and bands! If you enjoyed, make sure you give it a share on social media. You can follow me on most platforms. My links are all listed on my social media page! Thanks so much!

How I control my frizzy hair!

Being half Italian, I can honestly say I have struggled with my hair being frizzy and hard to manage. The Internet was never something I thought would be helpful. The last five years of my life I have discovered blogs and YouTube videos that actually had useful information. I never knew there was this sort of community on the Internet. Now that I'm finding my niche in this thing called blogging, I've realized there's a lot of things I could talk about. So let's get right into the basic details! I'm almost 28, I have color damaged hair, and again I'm half Italian. My hair is some what coarse and pretty thin, it just seems thicker than what it actually is. Which isn't always great, considering humidity is my enemy, as is sweating and doing anything that involves either of them.

For shampoo and conditioner I use Aussie Mega Moist, yes I hate that word… Moist… Ew, haha. I buy the huge double pack, with hair down to my butt I go through a lot of soap! It’s also cheaper to buy the bulk size. I’ve been using these for the last couple of months and I have noticed a difference in my hair. It’s much softer and less tangled after I dry it and go to brush it. I always shampoo my scalp really well, massaging with my finger tips. I never use my nails, that causes fine cuts and causes damage. After I shampoo my scalp, I bring the extra soap down the length of my hair and rinse well. When I condition, I focus it from my ears down. If I condition my scalp, oil builds up a lot faster which is strange considering I have naturally dry hair.

After I towel dry my hair is put in some Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine leave in conditioner. I use about a quarter size amount through my ends what whatever is left on my hands I put on the top of my hair to hold down any frizzy hairs. The brush I use is a basic dollar brush and it works great. Its just like a wet brush, but a cheaper version. I work from my ends and go up to prevent breakage. I already have enough damage and breakage, no sense in causing more when I know how you prevent it. On a weekly basis I try to do a hair mask with organic virgin coconut oil. I will leave it in for about twelve hours or longer if possible. I normally forget to do it weekly if we’re being honest. So in all actuality I do it roughly once or twice a month. When I have done it weekly, I noticed my hair grew like crazy! I always notice my hair feels stronger and I noticeably shinier regardless of how often I do it. Coconut oil is great for frizzy control as well. I use the smallest amount possible to just tame the frizz.

I have cut down straightening or heat processing my hair down to only “special occasions” or if I’m in the mood to have straight hair. That’s about once every two or three months. Taking good care of your hair and using good products will definitely help with frizzy hair. If I’m ever having trouble with more frizz than normal, I put a little hair spray on a comb and comb it down. To straighten my hair I use the Garnier Fructis Flat Iron Protection spray. I find it to be kind of stick, but it smells nice! If you guys know of any that work and aren’t sticky, let me know in the comments! I don’t know if this was helpful at all, but I hope it was. Thanks for taking the time to read this post, I appreciate you.
