Sunrise Eyes Tutorial (a year later)

Sunrise Eyes Tutorial

Sunrise Eyes Tutorial

(a year later)

Hello everyone and welcome back to my website! Today's eyeshadow tutorial I have for you was one I was super excited to do! About a year ago I did a similar look using the BH Cosmetics Take Me Back to Brazil palette, which turned out beautiful. I decided to give it a second attempt, using the James Charles x Morphe palette! With the difference in quality of the eyeshadows and my skills improving, I thought it'd be a fun idea! I did do this look about two weeks ago and honestly forgot I had done it and realized it a few days ago. This look is so much more pigmented and blown out looking. It does look like it has less purple, but that's due to the lighting being a little weird and the purple being taken over by the red lol. In the regular selfie (not the close up) you can see more of the purple! Let's get into this boi's!

Sunrise Eyes Tutorial

Stating out the look, I primed my eyelids with the Wet n Wild Photofocus Eye Primer. A tacky base makes all the world of difference when using this palette! Concealer does this weird thing with the pigments and makes them go dark. Here in the image of the palette, I have all 6 shades I used circled and numbered to make things a little easier. On a large blending brush I picked up the shade Bee (1) and backed it into the outer corner and the buffed it out almost to the brow bone. Leave a little room so you have space to put a highlight shade. On a medium size blending brush, I picked up 518 & You're Kidding (2 and 3) and blew them out on the crease, making sure the yellow was still visible. On a flat shader brush I picked up Love That (4) and packed it all over the lid, avoiding the outer corner. On a smaller blending brush I blended the edges of Love That into the crease. I then used it to pick up the shade Escape (5) and darkened up the outer corner to bring in some more depth. On a pencil brush I picked up Ring Light (6) and put it on the brow bone and inner corner. Using the same pencil brush, I took Escape and Ring Light and put them on the bottom lash line, blending them into each other!

That is the final look for the eyes! The rest of my face I did like I normally do, Which you can see me do in any of my YouTube videos! Linked below. I hope you love this look as much as I do. If you want to recreate this look, Tag me on social media! I'd love to see that yours turns out! Please remember to follow me on social media, I just hit 1k on Instagram and i'm so excited!

BH Cosmetics Royal Affair Brush Set Review

Hello everyone and welcome back to my website! Today I have for you a review of the beautiful BH Cosmetics Royal Affair Brush Set! I’m going to go over the quality, price, and lots of other information you may need or want before buying them for yourself. I’ll also touch briefly on some issues people are having with shipping, wait time and my personal experience with those subjects.

This brush set includes 10 brushes, 4 face brushed and 6 eye brushes. The handles are plastic with a "Metalized Finish". Basically meaning they have a shiny chrome finish. They are weighted nicely and don't feel cheap at all. I love a good weight behind a brush, it shows they're made well. Here is a list of bullet points about the brushes, from their website with my own points added in as well. One thing I'm actually confused on is their statement "Metalized handles that assists in precise application", The finish has nothing to do with how well the brushes will or wont preform lol.

I've been seeing a lot of drama on their Instagram photo's of people being upset about them being charged double on accident on orders and shipping taking over a month for things to be shipped. Personally, nothing like this had happened to me and when asking a few people who've had these issues, it was during the holiday season when they were getting a lot of orders. I'm assuming it was a computer error and due to high volume of orders, things were a bit late to be shipped. I think anytime someone orders online around the holiday seasons or when there's a big sale (on any website) the should keep into consideration that there's a lot of others shopping too.

Cost:
  • $25.00 regular price
  • On sale for $17.50
  • 10 brushes at $25 is $2.50 a brush
  • Or $1.75 per brush, based on sale price

Their points:
  • Lush bristles create the perfect finish
  • Soft blend of synthetic hairs
  • Metalized handles that assists in precise application
  • Cruelty Free
  • Professional Quality
My Points:
  • Extremely Soft
  • Fairly inexpensive
  • Nicely Weighted
  • 3 Blending Brush Sizes!!!
  • Dense Bristles
  • Zero shedding
  • The Finish has a beautiful Gloss coating
Brush Listing:
  • Tapered Powder Brush
  • Large Chiseled Contour Brush
  • Large Flat Top Buffing Brush
  • Angled Blush Brush
  • Large Crease Blending Brush
  • Tapered Crease Blending Brush
  • Detailing Crease Blending Brush
  • Tapered Concealer Brush
  • Flat Shader Brush
  • Angled Liner Brush

In conclusion, I highly recommend these brushes. The flat top foundation brush works like a dream! All of the brushes are amazing, but I've been looking for a good foundation brush for a while now. They're amazingly soft, have not shed one bit or gotten out of shape. The fat that there's 3 blending brushes is amazing! They are all different sizes, and help you create such a beautiful blend! Right now they are on sale! I got them on sale a long with 3 angled Brush holders in a Faux Leather, Vegan, Marble Pattern. They're really good quality and super pretty. They're normally $6.00 each, but on sale for $4.50 each!

Thank you so much for stopping in a checking out my review. If you enjoyed make sure you leave a comment and have a chat down in the comment section! I've been trying to pump out more and more content each week and I hope you're all enjoying it! I have a new makeup tutorial coming up on Saturday or Sunday! I can't wait to share it with you!

Cotton Candy Fantasy Tutorial

Cotton Candy Fantasy Tutorial
Cotton Candy Fantasy Tutorial

Hello Everyone and Welcome back to my blog! I've been having so much fun playing with colorful eyeshadows and making myself get out of my comfort zone! I love the colors Pink, Purple and mint, but I didn't have a mint so I used a baby blue. This look reminded me of cotton candy so that's where the name of the tutorial comes from. I couldn't think of anything else to title this tutorial so that's what we have. I can only be creative for so long and for so many things, titling things isn't one of them as it seems, lol. Today I used the BH Cosmetics Take Me Back To Brazil palette that I've had almost a year I think. I've seen pictures of the Morphe x James Charles palette and i'm just craving colorful makeup! I hope i'm able to purchase the palette. But blogging doesn't really make any money for me so I'm extremely lucky to buy anything I can!

Cotton Candy Fantasy Tutorial
Starting out this makeup look, I took my concealer and my beauty sponge and patted it on my lids in a thin layer. I used just enough to hide my veins and discoloration, but I didn't add so much that it was heavy and creasy. I did not set the concealer, I wanted to keep the base tacky to insure the eyeshadows were vibrant and didn't ware away. Picking up color 1, a bright fuchsia / darker hot pink I packed it on the outer corner of the lid making sure to start creating a sharp line. I slowly added more color, lightly blending into the crease and bringing it up pretty high. I then picked up color 2, a darker purple, and patted it on the outer edge blending it into the pink for a soft transition. I also took in onto the outer 2/3 of my bottom lash line. Picking up shade 3, a bubble gum pink, I took it on a blending brush and started buffing out any edges and bringing it close to the head of my brow. I also put it on my blower lash line, fading it from the purple to the inner corner. For the final actual lid shade I picked up shade 4, a light blue with the slightest green tint on a wet brush and patted it onto the lid from inner corner about half way. While I was packing the blue on, I  made sure to softly tap out any edges so it didn't look harsh and sloppy! Shade 5 is basically a sheer highlight shade that has a pinkish gold shift, I used this on a wet brush and  put it in the inner corner and under the arch of my brow bone! This is also what I used to highlight the rest of my face with, on top of another highlight shade!

Cotton Candy Fantasy Tutorial
Here you guys have a close up shot of the eyes with my eyes open and shut so you can see the look in all of its glory! I honestly am in love with this look and i'm super proud of how well it came out! I hope you guys love this look as much as I do. If you recreate it let me know on Instagram! Autumnal Vibes Makeup Tutorial

Autumnal Vibes Makeup Tutorial
Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! This past month has been so beautiful, so cool outside. It's been perfect. Although I have been sick off and on a bunch. Recently when I was outside with my dog Chloe I was suddenly really inspired by the trees in my yard to do this look. It ended up super vibrant and beautiful. This is my favorite time of  the year and I can't wait to do so many more autumnal looks. Warm tone smokey is my go-to look all Autumn long! This look kind of ended up really basic looking but it took so long to blend. I have having issues with the base I used and had to redo everything. I then switched the base I used and had so much of an easier time blending! Note to self (and all of you) don't use a heavy concealer as a base! It caused a lot if skipping and patchy-ness. Alright, let's get started boi's!

Starting out this makeup look, I messed up and had to restart. I tried using the Makeup Revolution concealer as a base, but it was either too heavy or i used too much. I ended up using my foundation as a base and things went a lot smoother! This tutorial was done using two palettes, but basically all you need is a shade to set the lid, a few warm and cool brown shades for the crease and a matte or shimmery orange for the lid. To set the lid I went in with shade 1 to create a soft base to blend everything into. Next I  picked up shade 2 which is darker, but still bright yellow and buffed it into the crease. In the picture, shades 3, 4 & 5 look like they are all the same color, but they're actually one gradually darker than the next. Shade 5 is actually a pretty deep brown shade. I took all three of them and buffed them in one at a time, building the intensity. On the lid I mixed shades 6 & 8, 6 wasn't a deep enough orange and 8 was too rusty brown almost. So I mixed and buffed those two together on the lid, blending back into the crease and outer corner area. For shade 7, a really pigmented black, I took the smallest amount and buffed it into the outer corner to bring more depth. You could totally do this look using a lot less colors, But I don't have a very big collection of makeup, so I don't always have the shades I need. I ended up highlighting the arch of the brow bone and inner corner with the highlight I used on my cheeks, it's another makeup revolution palette and its so blinding! Under my lash line I mixed the oranges and the darker brown and black!

Thank you all so much for checking out this post. Please remember to comment and share my posts, it helps me so much! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and if you did, let me know! I have another tutorial coming on Friday, I really love the look i'm posting today, but Friday's is sparkly and I love glitter!

Hopefully in these closer up images you can see what I was going for with using all of the colors I had pulled into the look. I wanted a lot of depth and dimension through the crease. There are so many beautiful yellow, orange and red trees outside right now and although I absolutely love it, my sinuses and body hate it. I'm going to try and grind and get some new tutorials going. I can't wait for some fun looks I have planned for the rest of the autumn season and all of winter!

Purple and Silver smokey eye on Blue eyes

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today's tutorial is this beautiful purple and silver smokey eye. This tutorial is on my youngest step daughter Trinity. We chose this color scheme to compliment her blue / hazel eyes. I think we succeed with making her eye color pop! We used Pinterest to look at some color charts and see what colors make blue eyes pop! This can be helpful if you're wondering what colors best compliment your eyes. Being an avid makeup obsessed freak, I know what colors to wear on my eyes to make them pop. I don't always follow those rules, because its makeup and you don't have to stick to just a few colors. Let's get started on with the tutorial.

Starting out today's makeup look, we went in with foundation on her lids. I mix two shades to get my custom shade, luckily we have the same skin tone! I have all products down below, but just used a primer, concealer or foundation. Use whatever suites your style and needs. Starting in the crease I took the contour shade in my Elf contour kit and buffed it in through the crease from outer to inner corner. I wanted to build depth before going in with the purples. On a fluffy blending brush I went in with shade 1, a cool darker purple and built up color until it was as dark as I wanted it to be. Adjust to your liking as with anything I mentioned. To deepen the crease, I took the shades I marked as 2, tapping into them and building up the outer corner. Shade 1 just wasn't a dark enough purple so I used a dark blue and light purple to make a custom shade for the outer corner. On the lid I went in this really cheap Wish palette, and took the silver on a flat shader brush with some setting spray. I packed on the silver and then set it with the same silver shadow. On the bottom lash line I went in with the purples and just built them up the saw I did in the crease. Adding something to the bottom lash line really helps pop your eye color even more!

That's all this eye look takes! Super beautiful and pretty simple to achieve! I just wanted to thank you for coming by and checking out my blog, I've had a set back in life and haven't been posting recently. What are you going to do when you have depression, anxiety and keep getting sick? It's been pretty annoying, I'm on antibiotics for the second time in a months period. I've missed doing my makeup, I've missed blogging and sharing my tips with y'all. Just been a real one, lol. I've also been watching a lot of James Charles, talk about sister snatched. He's always killing it, I aspire to be on his level one day lol. Also, I'm almost to 100k views and I'm panicking! Love you all so much for everything you do for me. Keep sharing and reading, it's helping me more than you know.

Fiery Half Cut Crease Tutorial

Fiery Half Cut Crease Tutorial
Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today what I have for you is this beautiful warm orange, yellow, and red half cut crease with a blue and purple lash line. I wanted to do a contrasting color scheme on the lower lash line for a pop of some different colors and creativity. To achieve this look I used my BH Cosmetics "Take Me Back To Brazil" palette. This palette is mostly mattes and has some shimmery shades in it. At this point I think I have used off of the shadows in this palette and they're all pigmented and blendable. For today's look in particular I used all matte shades, except for when I cut the crease, did the brow bone and the bottom lash line shades did have some shimmer to it. The blue and purple don't have much of a sheen on the eye, but there are a few specks of sparkle.

Fiery Half Cut Crease Tutorial
Fiery Half Cut Crease Tutorial
Getting started with this tutorial, I did all of my face makeup first and then did the eyes, which is not what I normally do. I'm not the type to bake my under eye really, But I do leave some extra setting powder under my eyes in case of any fallout. Starting out with some eyeshadow primer and setting it with my setting powder. I then went in the bright Yellow shade with a fluffy natural fiber blending brush and blended the yellow through the crease, all the way to the inner corner and almost to the brow bone leaving space for a highlight. With the same brush I took the bright Orange and started buffing it into the Yellow in a circular motion bring it mostly into the inner corner, but not too far. I wanted to keep my eyes more open looking and didn't want to put too much color there. With the same brush again, I took the red and patted and blended it a little, just in the outer third corner of the eye, bringing it down slightly so I could connect the lower lash line shadows into the red. Using my foundation and a flat cream shadow brush, I cut the inner half of my lid and backed on the highlight shade, blending it slight back to get rid of harsh lines. On a flat tapered eyeshadow brush I went in with the Blue and ran it in the outer third of my bottom lash line. Picking up the Purple I blended it from the Blue to the inner third of the eye. Using the highlight shade that has the pink reflect, I ran it on the inner third of the bottom lash line, on the inner corner and brow bone. Finishing up the eye look, I lined my upper waterline with black to make my lashes look thicker, and I put white on the bottom waterline to open the look of my eyes. I then added my favorite mascara!

Thank you so much for stopping by and reading my blog post today, I appreciate your time and hope you love this look. Pastel Dreams

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today's makeup tutorial is in video format! I hope you enjoy it and let me know if you like the idea of adding videos in with they tutorials! This night I sat down and just filmed, I don't know why or what inspired me. But I just went with it. I'm not entirely happy with the fact my camera wouldn't focus on products! I'm still really new at filming and editing, so I have to learn on my own how to take separate product shots and add them in and transitioned smoothly.

Thank you for stopping by and checking out this post. I hope you love this look. I know I do! If you have any video suggestions, let me know! I'm happy to try new looks! As always products are listed down below with all of my social media links!

Spring Time Inspiration Tutorial

Spring Time InspirationHello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today I have this bright, super cute spring inspired makeup tutorial for you! I’ve been in a bit of a rut when it comes to inspiration, I’m not sure what it is. I think I’ve just been in a bit of a funk and stuck doing a lot of the same looks. So today I decided to pop open my Take Me Back To Brazil palette and use my three favorite colors in this tutorial. As you can see, my favorite colors are pink, lavender and mint, luckily they’re all complimentary colors and I was able to create I look I really liked! Let’s get into this tutorial guys!

Spring Time Inspiration
Starting out to prime my eyes, I used my Hard Candy primer. It’s like four years old, almost empty finally and getting weirdly thick. I need suggestions down below on what I should get next! Setting my lids I used my setting powder, there isn’t a matte cream shade in the palette so I had to use that. Going in with the crease, I took both lighter pink shades circled and built up a hazy warm pink smoky vibe, lol. For the outer corner I used the two darker  purples circled. I used the lighter one through the crease and the darker one in the outer V with a touch of the blue circled. The dark blue I used, goes on very ultraviolet, I’m obsessed with it! For the main lid, I did a cut crease to make the hot pink pop! I used a concealer to cut it then packed on the hot pink and faded the edges with a clean brush! After I finished my face makeup, I went in with the minty blue shade circled and ran it under my bottom lash line in the middle with the ultraviolet on the outer corner and the circled highlight shade on the inner third and inner corner.

Spring Time Inspiration

That’s it guys! Let me know how you liked the look. Is there anything you would change? Let me know in the comments down below. I hope you have enjoyed this makeup tutorial! I love this look, I’m not sure if I would wear this look out and about because I am far too chicken to do that. I don’t know why, I love the look and I’m proud of my abilities, if you want to call it that lol. Thanks so much for your times, I appreciate you.

Navy Smokey Eye

Navy Smokey Eye

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today I had a really fun idea. I don’t know if anyone has done this or not before and it sounded like an awesome idea… I let my eleven year old daughter Trinity pick my eyeshadow colors. I wasn’t sure how this would go, she can be kind of crazy lol. Now she didn’t pick a matte all over color or a crease color, so I used my setting powder and my contour cool brown shade. Everything worked out in the end, even though I has some issues blending out the navy eyeshadow. I’ll go into the details when it comes to that part of the tutorial. Let’s get started!

Starting out this makeup look today, I primed my eye lids and set them with my setting powder. Like I said, my daughter did not pick out any matte or neutral colors, so I had to make due with what I had lol. For my crease I took the cool toned brown contour color and built up a nice deep crease. I knew with the navy eyeshadow she picked, I’d need a darker crease to compliment the colors. With the navy eyeshadow, I wet my brush to apply it in the end. I tried it dry and it was looking more black and patchy than navy. This shadow isn’t sold anymore my Ulta, I got it in a holiday train case set. On the center of the lid, I took my ring finger and packed on the color Deep End. This shadow is a deep emerald green with a holographic glitter in it. I tried it with a brush and it went everywhere. So using my finger was the only option, and there was still fallout because it is a glitter and I don’t have glitter glue. Over top of that I went in with a green from the Take Me Back To Brazil palette, the emerald wasn’t popping against the navy like I wanted it to. Adding the green on top was just what this look needed. I ran a little under my bottom lash line along with the navy in outer edge.

For the rest of this makeup, I did my face like a always do. If you would like to see how I do my face makeup, I’ll link my latest makeup tutorial down below. It was a mermaid inspired look. A lot of the products will be the same. If anything is different, don’t worry I’ll have a full list down below of all my makeup products used in today’s tutorial, along with my brushes and tools. I will have all of my social media links down there too if you feel like following me! I’d love if you followed me and commented and let me know you came from my blog!
