Dusty Pink Subtle Glam Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today I wanted to share with you the makeup look I did for my family’s thanksgiving dinner! I’ve been sick all week so I want to cover up these dark circles and bronze up my face a little. I still ended up looking super fair and sickly, lol. These pictures were taken at the end of the day. I had the makeup on about six hours! I went for full coverage glam that still looks natural. I know that’s not exactly realistic but you know, that’s life as a woman. I was a bit more matte and washed out looking than I intended, But I was in a rush to leave and put on too much powder. Let's get to it!

I ended up using the Carli Bybel palette today for today’s look. This palette is super pigmented, blends like a dream and had all the colors I needed. I actually used one of the highlight shades as the main lid shade. To start out this look I used my favorite eyeshadow primer and set it with the matte cream shade, it has a slight yellow tone so it blends well with my natural undertones. A girl can appreciate a good nude shadow, especially with it's this buttery! In my crease, I went in with the warm light brown shade and the lighter mauve. I went in back and forth with a little bit of shadow each time. Alternating between the two, I went a little above the crease to ensure the color showed up on my hooded eyes. On the lid, I took the pale frosty pink on a wet brush and put it across my lid the inner third. For the middle color, I took the first shadow in the second row (soft gold with a pink undertone), on a wet brush and blended it across from the pale pink to the outer third. To finish off the lid, I took the darker maroon and lightly blended the line in the outer third and deepened the outer corner. Under the bottom lash line I took the two lid colors and outer corner color and mirrored them under what I did on top. That little step really brought the look together!

Soft Everyday Winged Look

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. Today I want to share with you the look I wore this year to our family's Fourth of July party! It's so simple yet so pretty. This is one of my go to looks. Depending on what I'm doing that day decides if I’m going to do a Wing or not. In this case, I wanted to look a little nicer, so I did a wing! To me, a winged eyeliner just pulls a whole look together! I’m slowly learning each time I do my makeup, how to do my winged eyeliner better and better. This entire eye look is using the BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel palette. To start out this look I'm going to prime my eyelids with the Hard Candy Eyeshadow Primer and set it with the matte cream shade. For the crease I'm going in lightly with the soft warm brown and the lighter plum shade. For the lid I’m using the light pink shimmer shade that has a light peach tone to it. I just pack it on the lid and go in lightly with the plum shade to blur any harsh lines and keeping everything soft and relatively light. I don’t want to too Smokey, it’s for a family event after all, lol. I’ll have everything I used listed below!

Bronze Goddess Makeup Tutorial

Bronze Goddess Makeup TutorialHey guys what’s up? Welcome back to my blog! Today I started playing in makeup and ended up doing a super bronze, orangey smoky eye look that I am loving!!! So I thought I’d hop on and share this look with you today! I know this is not a very summery look, but I love it none the less. I hope you love it as much as I do! To create this eye look I used both the Carli Bybel palette and the Shaaanxo palette. To achieve this look you need a matte cream shade, some orange, brick, dark brown and of course a deep bronze shimmer. Let’s get into the look!
To start out this look, I did all of my face makeup first. Items used will be listed below. To start the eyes, I primed using my concealer and set it with the matte nude in the Carli Bybel palette. Next I took the orange and brick shades in the Shaaanxo palette on a fluffy brush and blended it through the crease going well above with the lighter orange. Going back into the Carli Bybel palette I picked up the darkest matte brown shade and ran it through the outer crease to deepen everything up. I wanted this look to be darker than what it turned out, but these shadows are so pigmented and easy to blend that I didn’t want to overdo it. For the lid I went in with the darkest “highlight” shade, and packed it all over the lid. I went back in with a clean blending brush to soften the edges. Under the lash line I went back in with the bronze shade and blended it up to the outer lash line. That’s the eye shadow done!

Carli Bybel Palette Review and Tutorial

Hey guys and welcome back to my blog! I finally got the Carli Bybel palette! I know it's been out for about a year or so, but I was finally able to get it and some other things for my 28th Birthday. I was so excited when my Ulta package came that I immediately opened everything and was in heaven! My first Impressions of  the Carli Bybel Palette were that it was so clean and beautiful. The white tufted and pearl background are so beautiful, especially with the contrast of the silver and black text on the front. The inside has again a beautiful white and silver striped look with filigree accented corners, a large mirror on the inside of the life with the quote “Aspire to Inspire”. I honestly love that quote, not to sound too corny or ironic, it’s actually such an inspiring quote. There are ten eye shadows and four highlight shades. Five matte shades and five shimmer shades, and of course the highlight shades are shiny and shimmery. All of these shadows and highlights are silky, creamy and so pigmented and blendable. I was so impressed with the quality of the shadows and highlights, I’ve never had such a nice palette. The shades all range from nudes, browns, bronzes, pinks and plums. They’re all so beautiful. You can honestly create so many looks using the Carli Bybel palette! I'm so happy with my purchase!

To start of this look I primed my eyelids with the Hard Candy Eye shadow primer, it’s the only one I’ve found that I love. Since the colors don’t have names, I have the photo numbered and will be referencing the shadows by the number on the photo. I set my eyes with shade 1 to create an even lid shade and make it smoother for blending. I went in and a little above the crease with shade 2 a few times, building up the faded hazy look. Then I went in the outer half of the crease with shade 3 and kept it in and just below the crease. On the lid, I used shade 4 and blended it up to the crease, and I brought it on to the bottom lash line. For my highlight, I used shade 5. Today I tried a lot of new products, I’m going to say a few things about each.

Ulta Full Coverage Concealer, Light Cool. - Holy grail concealer!
E.L.F. Cosmetics Makeup Mist & Set. - This is the only setting spray I’ve tried, I like it.
L.A. Girl Pro Setting Powder, Translucent. - So silky and beautiful, Horrible flash back!
Ulta Velvet Blush in Princess. - Such a natural look, very soft and pigmented.
NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Powder, Sunny. - Warm, pigmented and easy to blend.
Coty Airspun Face Powder, Naturally Neutral. – Holy grail setting powder.
Juice Infused Lip Oil, Cranberry + Pomegranate. – Goes on clean, smells amazing. Thick and stays on a long time.
